The ITO EN Ladies Golf Tournament has been organized by ITO EN each year since 1985. Leading women golfers from Japan, Asia and other regions compete in the tournament as an official event on the LPGA of Japan Tour. The tournament is sustained by the efforts and support of a large number of people, starting with the players and sponsors, but also including the golf course operator, LPGA of Japan staff, the tournament management company and gallery service staff, tournament volunteers, gallery spectators and the local community.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in interest in women's golf, as many leading Japanese women golfers make names for themselves on the world stage. ITO EN is proud to be associated with this event as well as to sponsor three of Japan's top women professional golfers—Ikuyo Shiotani, Tomoko Kusakabe and Yumiko Baba. ITO EN aims to contribute to the development of a healthy and affluent society through these kinds of sports promotion activities.
